The kid spent over an hour and a half of his "life" to do the whole spamming shit Confused. Can you get any more pathetic when you spend hours upon hours of your time purposely trying to annoy strangers over the internet?

On the internet men are men, women are men and little girls are FBI agents.

If so, can you explain this retarded twisted logic for me?

On the internet men are men, women are men and little girls are FBI agents.

the logic is easy as far as I see it if your annoying other people then you are not being annoyed and there are the people that do get there kicks annoying others just so that they can think it's funny when really they are just making a lot of enemies. I think these people are really just the ones who are crying out hoping that they might get some attention.

I think we should find the best hacker on the internet to write a virus specifically to find maps' computer and have it so that when it triggers it automatically downloads every Teletubbies graphic and music file on the internet onto his computer...frikkin moron Maps....

As nice as that would be it is impossible to target only one computer and then again creating malicious software (aka a virus) is illegal. In fact a virus can only affect a computer if the user specifically downloads it. Though there are other ways of a virus infecting a computer that is generally the way it is done thought with cookies it can be downloaded and nobody ever know it and it can install itself or be so basic that it needs not be installed. (I used to do some hacking).

Meh, We can just check the IPB Logs for when he posted and under what address assuming he isn't using some crazy security thing. In any case, tracking him shouldn't be too much of an issue, especially when you spend time yourself inflicting spam rather than using a bot.

All he would have had to do was use a proxy. I say wait till he logs on again then check the ip's he may be dumb enough to forget (If he even was) to use a proxy.

The day someone gets a virus from a cookie is the day that I will eat my own underwear. It's literately impossible. Smile

Edit: Damn, the admins were right on the ball with that one. I'm honestly impressed.

There are four truths in life that all must come to terms with:
1. I will die and all that I am will cease to be.
2. I am born alone and will die alone. I can never truly know another.
3. The suffering in my life is my own creation. I create my reality through my choices.
4. ALL meaning is arbitrary and relative. Life is ultimately meaningless.

There was an incident last night where some jerk by the name of Maps posted some three-hundred odd times, within about an hour-and-a-half. Least, I THINK that's what this thread is about...

Oh and, no Superduck, we've had worse. Rightly pointed out May 2006, but then there was Koopa Troopa Flya Man who made around that many posts when the board was a matter of months old. He is our 'Super Spammer'.

Edit: Oh forgot I-Mockery too, although I wasn't around at the time.

By the way, it was keios that made the "biggest spam fest ever" comment, not me.

Spammers are here and always will be. Maxy's put some pretty strict blocks on them, and the CAPTCHA is pretty strong, so very few get through at the minute. When some do, you'll likely never notice.

Keep in mind that an admin can delete all posts made by a specific user so while it takes them 5 seconds of work, he wasted like 2 hours of his life.

Ahhhhh, the marvels of modern technology! With the click of a mouse, we can destroy the last few hours of a persons life. Isn't life grand?

Then it would have taken them an extra 300 hours for them to spam the shit out of the forum, and an extra 30 minutes or so for an admin to get rid of the posts. Either way the admin could have actually done something productive with their day atop getting rid of spam, as opposed to dedicating your entire day to posting nonsense.

I thought it was set up so that an admin had to check a new thread before allowing it to be put up for new users with less than 10 posts.

If that's the case then you can delete all posts made by a specific ip address assuming he wasn't using aproxies that he changed each time which I doubt he was.

I'm pretty sure the 10 post block was removed when Maxy put up the spambot restrictions.

I thought the 10 post thing was a good idea... in fact if it came down to it if its just that its alot of trouble to go through threads made by new people, I'll go through them. I plan to log in everyday as much as possible anyway seeing as how I have no life. That is if there is no objections.

Of course they don't control mine thats because I have the helmet to protect me from the mind control waves.

Actually I meant that they can edit anybodies post. Like they could edit this to point out my flaws, like my tendency to keep posting in useless topics.
