I recently went through the tutorial on this site for making a mini-map in the corner of the screen. I got it to come up and work fine, but it really lags the game play on the world map. Is there any way to make it move more smoothly? Also, what would I have to do to make a toggle button for the map? (Ex - the player can press "Shift", and make the map appear and disappear at will)
Edit - I forgot to mention that I am using RPG Maker 2003
