Revelations

Hello everyone!

Short and simple, I'm looking for a talented story writer to help with plot development for my game. Sticking Out Tongue
I'm unable to move the story from point A to point B, why? I'm not exactly sure, I lack creativity I suppose.

You can find information about the game here...
Revelations

Basically the game is about the end of the world. It's heavily based upon the Book of Revelations in the back of the Bible.

I've got some ideas, but like I said, I'm unable to move the plot forward.
If a talented story writer would like to help, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks for reading,
Kool Dude!

You could maybe tweak that for a title otherwise do a Google image search on revelations background or something, that's how I got that one.

For your plot ( sorry kinda didn't see this thread or I would have posted earlier ) you kind of already have a good basis, try getting the most interesting stories on revelations ( might mean reading the bible alot ) but also don't make it over demonic as that becomes cultist.
An idea I have with Athan ( you main character ) is you can make him have his own motives e.g in order to gain his soul back from Lucifer, he offers him a deal. That deal could be to destroy gods army or whatever but Athan isn't nessesarily evil or good he just wants his soul so you could have him either betray lucifer and steal his soul or work with him. Like in the spawn series, he's given a second chance but he has to lead hells army and spawns a bad ass he sometimes saves innocent and other-times dosn't give a shit. Maybe whenever he dose something he gets good energy or evil energy. God can also give him back his soul on condition that he kills Lucifer or something and vise-versa. You might want to cut your game into chapters if its too long.

Notice:
Need a face-set or character sketch/concept P.M me. I draw mostly manga style though and it might take roughly a week

Hello! Your thread seems to have been cruelly ignored; I do apologise. It's a shame because it sounds like an extremely interesting premise, with oodles of potential. The fundamentals are in place, and it loooks like you'vfe a strong character in Athal - I do like the fact that, whilst in the unenviable position of choosing between serving God or the devil, he really doesn't mind provided he gets his soul back. I do wonder sometimes how these RPG heroes cope under the stress of their quests - I know if it were me, my goal would be considerably more down to earth (pun intended) and though I should tut at Athal's 'selfishness', in truth it seems like a very human response to his situation.

It's a little unclear in your description, but I'm presuming when Athal has his accident, in those out-of-body moments his soul is retained by the devil? It's not entirely clear how he manages to lose his soul. The fact that his grandmother loses her life in a similar accidental is certainly portentous, and you could definitely make something of that.

I would offer my services, though I'm rather thinly stretched at the moment as far as my storytelling goes, but certainly I'd be interested to see how you develop this. From experience my advice if you're struggling to move the plot forward is to get some paper or a notebook and write your story by hand. Don't worry about what you're writing, or if it's "good", just carry on. Chances are the first page or two might be a little wishy washy, but once you've 'connected' and opened the floodgates ideas will pop up left, right and centre. You can always get rid of the rubbish bits later; you just need to get those creative juices flowing Smile. It might be worth dusting off your copy of Milton, too, especially if you want a few scenes with everyone's favourite Antichrist in there - everyone knows that Satan gets all the good bits in Paradise Lost!

How did Express Game Maker come about, by the way? I'm not familiar with it.

Express game maker? Never heard of it too, though it was an XP game but it would be cool seeing what other engines can do. CSC's Ideas good, I also write my stories out on notepad to get my ideas flowing but never really like follow what I wrote strictly for example If when I'm making my game I think this idea can be tweaked like however I do it if it feels original and good. Like a pet your project needs to be fed with constant creative juice and an innovation sandwich. ( only pets don't drink juice or sandwiches but you get the idea )
