Even though I don't make games anymore, I still think about it during downtime at work, watching and while playing different games on PS2, DS, ect. And it gets me wondering: how do writing teams write a story? Then I figure. It's gotta be brainstorming. but then I think maybe it's more like Madlibs or something. So after a bit of thinking I am making a topic to spark the creativity in all of your souls:

this will work kind of like those games where each person writes a part of a story, then the next person continues it but different. Instead of a long drawn out paragraph of storyline how aobut a chapter synopsis; 2-3 sentences describing what's going on and each person writes a new chapter, a chapter theme, and a main character for each chapter (who it focuses on). and every new character is at most 1 degree from the last character (ie: #1's friend's father/plumber/husband/ect.). oh, and no double posts you must wait until someone else goes before you may post again.

I hope that makes sense. Now, I'll start by example:

Chapter Theme: melancholy
Main Character: meddlow kerrigan
Plot Outline of Chapter: Richest man in the country of Testonilla, Meddlow Kerrigan, snaps after years of anxiety and paranoia over his servants trying to kill him, so he decides to fire all of them, sell his house, his stocks, his bonds, his car, his pets, everything and bury the money in a wooden chest. he then decides that since he is now homeless he will drop off of the face of the earth and go into hiding from the servants he fired and his family, who assumes is helping the servants, locate and kill him.

now the next person will continue with the story of a character at most 1 degree from Meddlow Kerrigan.
