There's nothing wrong with being sensative. But everybody probably gets confronted (sp?) with meat a lot of times per day, if your family isn't vegetarian, they'll probably eat meat during the meals. Does this not offend you?

As a guy who believes in God, I can't say I'd be offended. You have to take everything into consideration. It's not like people hate you, and I do think you realize it was a joke, so why you are taking it as an insult, I don't know. I did it and have absolutely no problem whatsoever with admitting to it. It's not a FACIST ASSAULT on your beliefs, it is a simple, harmless prank. It's the kind of thing the item is there for in the first place. If some stranger on the internet chaging your avatar to a piece of raw meat causes you serious psychological scars, maybe you need to get some mental help. Or at least lighten up, hm?
And besides, if you really had as much of a problem with it as you say, you would've changed it back by now.
In short, I did it as a joke. If you have a problem with that, tough shit. Change it back and get over it.

No, see that's that problem. There's not a right or wrong. Pat wasn't right to do what he did, but he wasn't wrong. You weren't wrong in posting about it - you have the right to do it - but it doesn't make you right and Pat wrong.

I have to say that you are all being rather childish.
It was intended as a harmless joke, but Gremio obviously did not see it that way. Now it would seem that Patryn didn't know that Gremio would be so offended, so he was not in the wrong. The right thing to do in this situation would be to simply apologise for offending him and move on. However, mocking him for taking it too seriously and telling him to lighten up about it is not a good idea. He's obviously very sensitive about the subject and just because other people here think they wouldn't react this way doesn't mean that he can't. He has strong beliefs and that is in no way a character flaw.
So why don't we all calm down and stop the flaming hmm?

Maybe it's just my own bias speaking, as my skin is many times thicker than most of yours, but people need to lighten up and start having more fun with things. Having strong beliefs is a good thing, no doubt about that, but there are times when one must simply let it roll off them and ignore it.
