What. Well um.. I got your shells and cloth.. and... oh.. Crap.. That doesn't even begin to make up for the runes/staff parts you took.
THE Guild Wars thread.
Gee kids. Don't get all teary eyed on me. Shoulda told me you wanted them back...-_-' I didnt steal anything.
Actually I added both Crux rucis and Heru Pale or whatever their names were. I got no replies or invites to my messages. But anyway what time (GMT) are you all on? We'll have you a war!
Well, it's easy to miss a message in game, especially when you're killing a bunch of stuff. It would have been good if you would have left your name here where we eventually would have seen it instead of relying on a stealthy PM. As for when I'm on, usually (GMT EST -05:00) between 2:00pm - 5:00pm, when Sai and Magi also usually get on. As for a war that will have to wait until we get a hall won't it?
P.S. Curt: It's hard to accept the loss of the guilds first (and only) Emo. We want <s>YUO</s> YOU back.
to you! we'll see.
Guild War? Wait! I'm not done building my dueler!=p
Here ya go:
The yellow cape doesn't look too bad.
Being burnt out on WoW, I just picked up this monster of a game yesterday. It took some getting use to, but I'm hooked. Still in the newbie area, my character's name is Ryn Oko, would be cool to see you guys online and get a guild invite. He's an elementalist, thinking either mesmer or necro for my sub.
This game is fun.
Guild invite sent, sir Penguin.
P.S.: The real fun begins after newbie area. ;o
Now we just need Jacket, Patryn, and PaulC to buy the game and it'll be great. Maybe any other townies who are considering buying as well are welcome.
Maybe? Are we discriminating here?
I did more than a fair share of the Arena last night, and I learned a lot. But before we get into that, you should all know that I scored a lot of good hits for our guild hehe.
At one point we were undefeated for 5 straight matches, and I took out at least half their team with Rain on at least 3 matches lol.
Now, I'd like to share some valuable insight if for all of you wishing to get your feet wet:
-Your level 4 or 5 can very well be pitted against a team that has level 12s in it.
-Warrior/Monk combos are the token tank in the Arena.
-Warrior/Monk supported by another class with Monk as a secondary class can be very bad news... hit the back-up first.
-Necromancer primary combined with another direct-damage caster class does too much damage, too fast (i.e. Necro/Elem). If you can keep your Necro/Mesmer alive, he will hurt warriors bad.
-Mesmers are the bane of Warriors.
-Adrenaline-based, speed-bleeding tactics work vs just about anything... except for Warrior/Monks and life drain builds.
-Always have a ranged weapon. If an enemy that is almost dead is running, don't try to chase it down with a melee weapon... especially if it is a Necromancer. He's probably draining your life while you're running. Shoot him and get it done with.
-Tactics and build play a bigger role than brute force.
Well, those are some things I've learned from my personal experience. As for what build I used. I was using Rain Knightmaiden, a Warrior/Elementalist speed-bleeder type.
Rain's primary tactic:
-Rush and bleed
-Engage deep wound
-Engage Frenzy for faster attacks after deep wound
-Engage Power Attack after Frenzy to finish him off
-Endure Pain is ready for sudden life bursts
-The only Elementalist skill she uses is Frozen Burst (I think that's what it's called). To slow all adjacent enemies and damage them with water. The slow tactic makes speed-bleeding even more effective.
Rain's weakness: Mesmers, Necromancers
Rain is strong vs: Warriors, Elementalists, Rangers, and Monks
Right now I'm created a more efficient PvP character. "Warleader of Rain" will be a Warrior/Ranger.
So there, I hope someone can benefit from that.
I think I saw Warleader of Rain last night somewhere. Nice info
Lvl 9...
WATCH OUT!
lol
Level 19. By the looks of it I'm going to be the second one in the guild to reach max level. Though max level doesn't mean anything if you haven't ascended, perhaps the HARDEST thing to do in that game. If the travel alone isn't hard enough (Jakey and I have barely made it halfway through the first map leading to Droknar's forge,) you have to do three uber hard quests that are just plain mean.
I got bored of Guild Wars- not much to do and really repetetive.
Here's what happens: (w= walking, r=running, -=looking.)
:jakey: wwwwwwwww
w
w--------:chickensoupcheese:
:pikaslap: Oh no I'm out of mana RUN!!
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
r
:dammitjakey: rrrrr
OH NO HE KEPT HITTING WHERE I USED TO BE EVEN THOUGH IM ON 2MB!!
:woban:
Sorry just always wanted to do that. If it aint showing properly you probably aren't on my resolution. :osnap:
You have no right to use my emote, lamer...!
LEEERRROOOYYY JEEEEENKIINS (Aka WoB sucks)
The game has it's ups and downs. The fact that the quests are UTTERLY BORING and reward-deficient (at least for the first 24 hours that I've experienced) is a big downside. But the PvP aspect is a lot of fun. Regardless of what the developers claim, I firmly believe this game was built from the ground up with PvP in mind. The quests are afterthoughts.
Speaking of which, does anyone here have Neverwinter Nights? I think I'll make a post about it hehe.
Ok. An update regarding the guild.
We have disbanded Brotherhood of Boo in favor of a more serious guild name. The new guild will be called Lament for Gallantry, a play on the LFG acronym.
Also on the change list is a new cape design since just about everyone thought it sucked.
Finally, at long last, we have obtained the Celestial Sigil which will allow us to purchase our guild hall. It was purchased at the supremely inflated price of 57585 gold.
I sent out invites to anyone remaining in BoB to rejoin our new guild. If you were somehow missed in this process be sure to let us know.

Lamette.
Well if I could join I may actually. I might give it another go and as I know you all well it might be more fun.
Those screenshots don't make me want to play, it looks like a worse version of knight online.

The hell? Where as Knight Online being a crappy 1st person MMORPG where as Guild Wars.....isn't?

LOL flamebait LOL. Someone pour on the gasoline. You can't even be serious about this statement. Knight Online wasn't bad graphically (not good either mind you) but that's where it ends in good features. It lacked a LOT such as quests, storyline, um maybe craft system if that even really matters? The only thing to do was to level grind on monsters which also sort of restricted you to the same area, only allowing you to progress slightly further from the town walls after you gained like 5-10 levels, or traveled in a fully loaded group which restricted exploration greatly. This *MAY* have changed since I last played it, but I'm not about to hold my breath on the issue. Guild Wars on the other hand; boasts much sharper textures, a better looking terrain system, more highly detailed character/monster models, less Brazilians, more fun, is better optimized for performance, exploration is possible without requiring inept people to group with, and doesn't have you (oh no I di'int.).
Screenshot of Knight online from the Knight Online website.
Screenshot of Guild Wars from the Guild Wars website.
Conclusion: Guild Wars is easily defended against your scant attack. Lose a turn. You are either on crack or must have saw screenshots of Guild Wars with all of it's eye candy disabled, but even then i'd wager it still looks better than Knight Online. :holy:
y halo thar sir jake. might i recommend Nomad's Isle?
You might if you were in the guild and staying with it.

Your avatar and personal title don't make me want to listen to your opinion, it makes you look like a worse version of some sort of shithead troll.
See guys, judging by appearances is fun!
You're avatar is reminding me of the Stone Summit. Make it stop you ankle biter.
Your avatar is reminding me of a)how much of a :spacefaget: you are and b)how much sex I had with your mother last night.
A.) Takes one to know one but even then they can sometimes be wrong ( like now :v )
B.) My mother died of cancer 2 months ago.. You're such a prick you know that?
You already used that mom thing on GuWa, remember? Your mother is alive and well. I would know this because of the copious amounts of fornication I commit with her.
That's not my mom, that's my........ dog. You violate my dog so much are you on peyote and crack and mary jane and lsd and meth and extacy and.... and.... monkey nuts?
Hay, sup, guess what? You're both flaming manwhores, whose mothers are subject to fornication. By me.
And I should have GuWa by the time I get home, unless I have to make the return trip at some ungodly hour.
Who are you to judge!? And who are you to fornicate?

He just fornicated you.
Wow how much I hate Makuta.
I think hes the product of his mum making music with his brother; would explain how inbred he is.
Makuta sounds like some sort of soup. Anyway, since we're on the subject of soup, vote for the guild hall everyone! (Even people who aren't in the guild, MAYBE I'll take your vote into consideration if its reasonable.)
Wait what are the options again?
Oh yeah my name on Guild Wars is "Lavern Lacross". I'm in post-Ascalon at Fort Ranik. Not on at the mo. What time will you all be on?
If you can get to Lions Arch and see them for yourself first hand that's probably much better.
Warriors Isle:
Hunters Isle:
Wizards Isle:
Frozen Isle:
Nomads Isle:
Druids Isle:
Isle of the Dead:
Burning Isle:
Originally posted by Sai(Matkau)@Some day in Guild Wars, Some time probably in the after noon.
One does not simply ride into Mordor.
So there they are.
Some of these isles also have terrain advantages, but not all are yet known.
Hunters Isle has a few good places in and out of the base good for archers to snipe.
The ice on Frozen Isle will slow anyone down who comes to a stop on it.
In Nomads, there is a quicksand lake between both spawns and the flag on one end. You must cross through this to get at the flag. The quicksand reduces speed by 15% and saps 1 energy whenever a skill is used.
Dead Isle we are not sure of, but I assume the black water will be poisonous in GvG.
Burning Isle we are not sure of, but I assume that the lava will kick in and do harm in GvG. Edit: If it's like lava in PvP, it will cause the cripple and burning conditions.

Any of the (eight I think?) guild halls. These include Warrior Isle, Hunter Isle, Nomad Isle, Druid Isle, Wizard Isle, Frozen Isle, Isle of the dead, and that Burning Isle. Check them out via that guild hall boat captain in Lion's Arch.

You need to leave your current guild in order for us to invite you to ours.
I can't get to the Hunter, Wizard or Frozen Isle pics, for some reason, but from what I can see, I would vote for either Nomad's Isle or Burning Isle. Warrior's Isle, trailing behind by just a bit.
I love the whole wasteland look with Nomad's, and let's face it, Burning Isle may be cliche, but it is badass.
Can't wait to get home and start playing. Only 5 more days. >_>
Well, tell the administration to quit touching your harbl and let you go. Oh and um I can't wait til you're finally out of there. Hope this turns out funner than last years Ragnarok Online grind.
I like Warrior's Isle, personally.

I propose we change the filter on world of warcraft to yawn, or maybe something even more juvenile like GuWa Roxxxxorzzz.
