Indeed, that was one of the staple RPGs of the Super Nintendo era. He also has many other great games that I could buy, such as Grandia 2 and Sonic Adventures for the Dreamcast, both of which he also set aside for me. I feel bad that I have him set aside games that he could most likely sell to other people, but then again I am willing to pay the price that he tags the games as, whereas other people might try to haggle; I know the going average price at a ball-park level for most of these games, and he gives me terrific prices for them, so haggling any lower to me seems to undermine the collector's relationship we both have.

I will definitely have to try those two games you've suggested. Another that you should try, if it finally manages to come out - since the creator has been working on it for a long time, - is Megaman X: Corrupted. Quite the amazing game, it is essentially Metroid in the Megaman X universe. The game mechanics so far appear to be very robust and in-depth, very good for those of us who aspire to make games for ourselves.

Here is the link to the Youtube channel so that you may look at what he's done for the game so far: http://www.youtube.com/user/jkbproductions

I've bought Final Fantasy 2(4) for the SNES. Besides that, I am playing Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance on the GBA, Borderlands on the 360, and Treasure of the Rudras on the SNES.

If you enjoy RPGs then I dare say you are in the right place for it.

Well what can I say, I'm adding WAY more content in mine besides, a tournament, pointless jobs that pay crappy money and psycho cutscenes..... jeez did they make roxas look boring in there. too little combat too much pointless questing....

besides it's not like KHII was the first to introduce prolonged prologues.

I've begun to play Diablo 2 online with some friends. I've missed this game, and can't wait for Diablo 3.

Haunt The House. I'd be playing on my emulater, but my computer has been pretty down lately. Every time I launch Dolphin to play PSO eps1-2, my lappy just crashes, and I have to really disable a lot of stuff just to run it for 5 minutes. I have to disable a lot of stuff as is, to. Mind boggling.

Lol. I just started playing Fallout: New Vegas again on my PC. I turned on hardcore mode, but quite frankly, it doesn't seem all that hard.  Kiss As long as I keep stealing food and water from the poor residents of the wasteland, I shall be fine. I will also have to kill some gang members in their checkpoints just to sleep.

Ah sleep. How you make people crazy.  Pirate

I'm really waiting for Skyrim to come out in little over a month. There shall be tons of lols to be had, and this marriage system is going to make it even more so. I shall sit on even more rooftops and shoot even more civilians below just because I can. And then I'll go shout in a dragon's face and hug it to death.

Dergons dergons dergons.

I really wanted to play Deus Ex Human Revolution though. And MW3 when it comes out. But I have to be a penny pincher ever since college kicked down the door saying "OBJECTION!!!"

Of course, sometimes I just like to say, "HOLD IT!!!"

Oh college internet connection. You make my life approximately zero.  Laugh

Has anybody here heard of Dokapon Kingdom? It's this epic party RPG for Wii (I hear it was ported from PS2 but maybe that version was Japan-only). When I say party RPG, I mean an unholy fusion of Mario Party and Dragon Quest. Where everyone is obsessed with making money. It's loads of fun, especially if one can get three or four people together for the massive story mode (takes up to 30 hours in total I think).

I've never been able to get through very much of "Secret of Evermore" -- that is, until now!!! I played it all the way through and, may I say, I REALLY like that game! The music is stellar IMO and the gameplay is lots of fun (the alchemy system). When I was a kid I couldn't get past "Salabog" or w/e (the snake boss in the Jurassic swamp area) so I never saw much of the game.Meu you will like this, I just started "Illusion of Gaia". After finishing my latest playthrough of "Soul Blazer" I saw IoG in the pawn shop and picked it up. Now I'm pillaging ancient civilizations.

Hey Zatham... speaking of Secrets of Evermore....

Did you manage to:

1) Kill off the secret boss? (try lurking around the satellite area)

2) Seen the secret ending? (pass the game normally however be patient at the end...)

I have recently went on a Zelda binge for some reason. And looking at a bunch of pictures and one of the many females together depressed me. But I play on! Right now, it's Oracle Of Seasons. Next will be Twilight Princess. And, if all goes to plan, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. Yup.

That's about it.

Do enjoy Zelda! You should get a 3DS and Ocarina on there - the graphics are super nice, several controls are improved, and it's in stereoscopic 3D. Also, Skyward Sword is out. I've heard it's pretty sweet.

I've started playing EVE Online somewhat. I like it. It's really complicated. I want to have time for it, but who knows if I really will?

I'm to broke to get a 3DS, and I didn't like skyward sword all that much, honestly.

This is such a good thread, sad to see no further replies in the last nearly TWO YEARS! Frown

I just finished playing through Illusion of Gaia, a game I've owned since childhood and play every half dozen years or so.  Tried to get back into Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy II but kept getting ideas for my own RPG and so I gave up.  Still playing Everquest 2 fairly often.

If anyone around here plays EQ2, let me know! Could use a few good people for my guild on the Crushbone server (my guild deteriorated over the last couple of years due to me taking an extended break from the game...oh well)

Eggy, tell me you've finished those games before. You can't have not finished CT. If you haven't you must. The best part of that game comes when you get to Zeal (which is sadly the part of the game I was stuck on for the longest time as a kid 'cause I couldn't beat the Golem; that thing is super tough to beat if you don't only use magic against it).

As for Illusion of Gaia, my feelings toward it should be obvious.

Oh I have finished those games years ago. I still have my original saved game on Secret of Mana (where I maxed out at level 99!) and my original game on Chrono Trigger (I almost have everyone to the maxed out double-star "**" level).  Illusion of Gaia was the only game I never finished up until just a few weeks ago. The final boss was super easy once I realized all I had to do was turn into the puddle of goo to avoid getting hit by the meteor thingies.

And speaking of Illusion of Gaia, who did the artwork for your avatar? I see little Hamlet in there...hehe

Oh and hey you might be able to answer this for me...as far as the ending to the game goes: are Will and Kara supposed to remember each other at the very end? My guess is that they do, but then again, I'm sort of thinking they don't remember each other but still manage to meet again.

My avatar is cropped from the original Japanese box art. I've attached it so you can see.

I think they don't remember each other and it's just sort of a destiny thing. Either that or a the-future-is-an-alternate-reality thing, which always seemed the case to me.
