I feel like I've been away from the forums for some time, I've been preoccupied with much as of late. I believe that this would be an opportune time for us to chat about what's been happening lately.
What's new with all of you?
There has been quite a surge of activity in the help forum, yes; I feel a bit bad really, with my rusty gap-filled knowledge of the programs(!). Still not ruled out the possibility of beginning a new project, though.
I apologise for not being as active as I should; the "real-life" beast has reared its ugly head, and I've been working quite heavily as of recent on my one of my other projects, which with any luck (probably bad luck as far as you are concerned!) I can share with you soon.
You'd think there would have been a big fanfare now that the latest Final Fantasy game has just come out. That's big news for us RPG nerds, right?
I'm actually not interested in new games, I'm still discovering and playing older generation games myself.
What's new with me? Not much... still failing when it comes women, but I'm getting closer, no doubt... :lol3:
And otherwise, to busy with the aformentioned object of affection to make games... my whole life is like one big plotline with lotsa conditional branches and no extra lives....
So yea, not a lot. Just go on here nowadays for some demos and chatting. :Eyesroll:

Story of my life really. Though equating your love life with RPG Maker might suggest why you're not having much luck . Does open the door to lots of wonderful puns, though - answers on a postcard.
Women troubles...I think we all know how that goes. Now, what's new with me. Well I started visiting the site again, got called back to my job after being laid off for almost a year (Meaning I'm pretty freaking sore at the moment), and working on moving out of my old apartment into my friends house. Yeah, real life is kicking my butt right now. Also, impatiently waiting for Super Street Fighter IV to come out...
I am content with not having women troubles of any sort.
I bought Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link for the Nintendo, with box and manual, as well as Beyond Good And Eil for the Playstation 2.
Summary of my life right now:
Work.
Work.
More Work.
Everquest 2.
Work again.
Still working.
More EQ2.
Work.
Wife won US Bank's highest employee achievement award and we get to go to Newport Beach, California for 4 days next month and stay at a really fancy resort. Woot!
Outstanding, have fun in California. Is Everquest 2 enjoyable?
Thanks! And EQ2 is so enjoyable for me and my wife, that I now find any other game boring I just don't have a need to play anything else so long as I have EQ2
I got Little Big Planet and MAG. All hail Valor! Boo Raven!
I have heard relatively good things about MAG. I would enjoy the carnage of Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer battle amped up to a larger scale though.
Mag is 256 player.
BELIEVE IN THE 256 PLAYER!!!
I wanted to get MAG, but 1) I'm not playing at all on my PS3 now that life has given me these wonderful things called "women" and 2) FF13! Gotta get that first, if anything!
It's only 256 player by technicality. You're actually two teams fighting in your own quadrants of the map, it's not a game where you could finish off one team and group up with the next, sadly.
It's a step in the right direction though.
Ok, now that I settled my problems with women, I feel I'm ready for a game. FF13 it is!
NO GET LITTLE BIG PLANET!
I had LBP, and it was good while people still made good content. However, soon all that was left was piles of H4H games with no content
On a lighter note, I started playing FF13, and I must say, the plotline is fantastic. No need to mention the amazing amount of eyecandy, also. The battle system is... intresting, to say the least. I don't want to say a lot on that topic, it certainly works flawlessly and is rather intresting with staggers, paradigms, and "deceptisol", but it can become a frustrating button-mashing system when multipul strong foes appear at once. I also didn't like the addition of Vanille, she's nothing more than a horrible attempt at making the plot lighter. WE'RE ALL GONNA EITHER TURN INTO HORRIBLE MONSTERS OR TURN INTO CRYSTAL, YOU STUPID BIMBO! NOW SHUT UP AND STOP BEING ALL HAPPY! As for the upgrade system, boring. I prefered the openess of the FF12 checkerboard system, but now we're all left with following the development of crystals... :Eyesroll:
Well, I hope some of you set out to buy FF13, and have some heated debate over the insanity/bad-ass-ery of Snow!
H4H games? I make obby courses for it.
I've been mostly playing Borderlands and Romancing SaGa (stuck on the final boss... again). My project Isn't my top priority so I am working on games that I haven't beaten yet.
I wish I had a 360 or PS3 so I could play FF13 or Resonance of Fate, but I don't have the money for either so...

... YOU STEAL ONE!
...Just not mine... O.o
What on earth does H4H stand for? I googled it and got Help For Heroes and Horseboxes for Hire. Please let it be the latter.
I've heard the opposite with Final Fantasy XIII - apparently the plot is a convoluted mess, and it is accompanied by reams of text in an effort to explain exactly what on earth is going on. That said, I'm still interested in playing it; I'll pick it up when it goes a bit cheaper or can get it second hand. I did download FFVIII off the Playstation Store so that's my next port of call. Stuck in the past, obviously.
From the little I played FF13...I liked Vanille. That might just be because she might be the 'annoying' character of the game, but she's probably one of the LEAST annoying of the series. Also, the fact that she hands a child a gun after he sees his mother die...then hugs him right afterward! A friend of mine made the comment that if you just picture her being somewhat mentally challenged, she seems a lot less worse.
That reminds me. I was fighting a giant robotic badass boss that was sapping away at my health while Vanille was in my party. I suddenly realized that Vanille shakes her butt in battle. Right afterwards the boss fired his LAZAR!!!!, and I was to busy with looking at her buttox to notice the telltale sign of the pending attack. By the time I noticed it was to late to exicute a paradigm shift to a defensive stance, and so lightining died. Game Over.
Also, the plot is a terrible mess, and I supposed that's why I love it. Not everything in life is explained in order, now is it?
H4H stands fo Heart for Heart, where hearting something means you favorite it. There are trophies for getting a certain amount of hearts, and H4H games offer an incentive by promising to heart a game if (s)he hearts the other's. It's nothing more than a waste of digital space...
As for Vanille, I learned to enjoy her crazy antics, and yes, I've stumbled across that method too. I especialy like where her Fil'ce mark was.... XD
Final Fantasy 13 definitely interests me, but I will only get it once I acquire a PS3; the graphics and lucidity of the gameplay is improved, if only slightly, on the PS3, and I'd like to have a decent library of games on the PS3 as well.
I did play a bit of Devil May Cry 4, and the new character, Nero, is quite the rambunctious fellow.
well not much has actually changed.
well not at least on the general discussion topics....
but things have started to heat up on the help section.
The project still lives!
