....to be honest I just want to know who plays the game.
Lets (maybe) Talk Final Fantasy IX
Wait, do you mean 9?
Can I talk about 8 instead?
IX is indeed the Roman numeral for 9. I personally prefer the storyline and setting of 9 over 8, I'm more of a fantasy lover.
9 was my first game EVER!
but if you really want to you can talk 8
I'll be honest about this.
gamplay wise: 9 > 8
story wise... it's a tie both of them are real good
FFIX was awesome indeed. cept for a slight detail...
the trance system... wish I had at least some control over it.
The farthest I have gone is in the last leg of the fourth disc. I have a habit of dropping a game just before finishing it.
Not something that I like to do - I either give up early on or try or see it through to the end - though amusingly I have done this with FFVIII.
Not with IX, though, which I completed many moons ago, and it's probably my favourite Final Fantasy game .
I despised the money system in 8. I find 9 eclipsed 8 in many aspects.
None of you understand Squall! 7 was best though so lets talk about it.
I never managed to finish it...
I was laughing my head off when I had to fight Rinoa along with the other sorceror when they were fused together... ahh, good times
I watched a friend of mine fail hard at that part, because he saved just before and wasn't strong enough to beat her, so he screwed up gloriously.
yup a considerably serious danger in FFVIII is saving near the end of the game at low level with no ways
of survival. (reason why I deleted my old disc 3 file and started over. abel owned me over and over again)
and yes I agree with asth. the money system potentially SUCKS
I've been seeing a lot of FF9 being mentioned around the Internet lately so I think it is a sign from the Zodiac Lord to play some FF9. I'mma dust that baby off (the CD) Only then can I properly contribute to this thread.
Although tbh I've beaten it one or two times and got my characters to level 99 etc. as I am obsessed with doing. Well, only for good games. And Suikoden 4 because it was easy.
I had to restart Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure because it has glitches strewn throughout the game here and there, and it made me unable to obtain the puppet Koro, the dog who died and would become a sort of steam-work metal dog puppet. I had all puppets up to that point except for him.
I am about half way through the second disc, but it has been a while since I've last picked it up. The farthest I have gone is in the last leg of the fourth disc. I have a habit of dropping a game just before finishing it. This time around I've been getting all the secret items and all the blue magic.
Don't tease the octopus kids!
