I'm glad I'm not the only person who can't spell intriguing! Laugh

Your buildings look a little weedy (I could barely fit my bed in one of those, let alone anything else!) and lack a little flair, but the sparse nature of these maps certainly suits that unearthly air. The colour scheme, however, is an inspired choice. It makes me think of those films that are shot in black and white but have glimpses of colour (Sin City comes to mind); in the film business they call that stylish, I believe.

I'd say it's an overall excellent use of the basic RTP-style tiles in RM2k. I love the Halloween colour scheme. I would suggest, though, that in addition to widening the buildings somewhat, you also make use of the diagonal cliffs more than the sharp edge cliffs, and make more use of the lighter ground tile you use for paths; it looks like the road is supposed to have a single tile's worth of it surrounding it.

Thank you all for your input. Alas, due to the fact that this rm2k3, the chipsets have limited space. Very limited. So diagonals would be difficult to add, though I would love to (as I do it all the time when they available).

The entire game is set in this color scheme. Mostly the red objects stick out. So that should be interesting to you guys. I'm kinda lazy when it comes to designing. I like to be creative, but the less I have to do, the better off I am.  Sticking Out Tongue

I call bollocks on chipset space. It's only 4 lower tiles and 2 upper tiles, and assuming you're using autotiles properly you should have ample space to spare on the chipset.

It's not that hard. You just have to pull the diagonal tiles from the RTP tilesets and recolor them. I'm not telling you to make tiles that don't exist Wink

I already have tiles like them on other sets. But then I'd have to open phhoooottooooshooop, and then i'd have to make roooooooom, and then I'd have to change the passibility in the gaaaamme settinnnnngggss....

I personally think this color scheme looks very good. It's a nice change from all the natural colored graphics I am used to seeing.
