Time to Form a Team...for REELZZZZZ

In the 14-15 years I've been tinkering with game makers I have never been able to recruit my real-world friends on any of my game making endeavors. I have never really tried to form a "development" team from among people I knew online as that never seemed to pan out real well for other people whom I have seen try.

BUT...I'm dead set on finding a few people to help with a current project I am working on using RPG Maker 2003. To Hell with XP, VX and VX Ace. I'm going old school!

All I'm looking for at the moment are a couple of friendly folks to help me and my brother design some maps and, if you're familiar enough with RPG2k3's battle system, someone to help with setting up battle animations in the database. I know what I want with the animations and I can tell you what kind of maps will be needed, but I will not divulge any information until I've found some peeps that are interested.

Having said that, I am also looking to assist other people who have projects they are working on. About the only thing I can't do is design sprites from scratch. I can draft up story lines, character biographies, do up maps, set up events for anything you can imagine including custom menus and battle systems, my experience with Ruby is *okay* but don't ask me to do any serious battle systems with it, and I can even compose some music.

So, please let me know if you can help me or if I can help you!

Wish I could help you there egg, but I've only got XP, basically all this time I've been honing my skills for XP use, from mapping, eventing to enemy AI, I've had my own XP project in my hands and even though I'm still far from a tech demo what I have so far when compared to my ancient project Adiol is a huge leap on quality,

I don't have 2K3 sad to say, but if you need any help on XP I can try. hmm guess I could upload a very very (alpha phase) demo of my WIP. has no storyline yet, just showcasing the features.

The project still lives!

My XP program quit working, dang thing just won't run when I try to open it so I'll have to reinstall it I guess.

I can't make a decision on a few major things for my project, mostly revolving around what type of battle system to use.  I was going to use the default side-view and build on that, then I started playing Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and fell in love with the simplicity of the front-view battle system in that.  However, that morphed into a yearning for the even simpler Dragon Warrior battle system which made me decide that I would only have one playable character instead of 6, which completely turned upside-down most of the features in my game!

At this point, I'm thinking I might be better off revitalizing my Dragon Warrior remake I did earlier this year. That was made with RPG Maker VX, though, and I'd really like to make something with RPG2k3. Oh well, just another fine example of why I struggle with completing a game!

I'm willing to help out: anything 2D sprite-esque is where my talents lie.  An example I can show is the title screen image for the game Adventure Dungeon, image will be attached.  I'm not going to link the site as it would be in a sense, an advert, and I'm not into breaking rules.  Let me know if you want any help, my email chad.m.kosteroski@gmail.com, and I'll do what I can.  I'm not the best but if I get into it, I can make a decent product.  Hope you like the example.  Unlikely you'll get a hold of me on here, I don't appear often.

Hey there, K-Wulff.  I'll keep your email handy, I can always use help in the spriting department. At this point in time, I'm waffling too much on which direction to take my project so it would be pointless to try and involve anyone else until I have a clear focus on my game.

In the meantime, if there is anything you are working on and would like an extra hand with anything, please let me know! I would be happy to help.

A good API makes it easier to develop a program by providing all the building blocks. - Marla Ahlgrimm
