My three current projects...and I'm considering a fourth!

I've been kind of working on and off on three projects for a while...one has been in the works for YEARS, one has been on my table for about two years, and one has just gotten started. And now I'm considering a fourth. As I have nothing better to do right now, I figured I'd list them off and give a little explanation behind them to see what you all thought. Input would be much loved.

1.)  Elemental Hunters

Elemental Hunters is the longest-running project I've had. It's the one I was working on when my computer crashed and burned. Recently, my roomie got access to my hard drive and sent me all my files from it. So, naturally, it's back underway.

The story behind it is a long one...and has a lot to it, to be honest. The most basic way to explain it is this...there are humans who are born with the ability to control various functions in nature. Think of it like Pokémon, only with people instead of cutesy animals who are pretty much used by 'trainers' as pit fighters. There are also humans born who can see souls, and are ultimately recruited to send the souls to reincarnation, called Reapers. Elves existed ages ago, but all but wiped themselves out. There ARE still some hanging out, but they're usually too busy making their particular celestial body function properly. The leaders of the two main groups are Solaris, who controls the sun and talks with the Elementals, and Lunaris, who controls the moon and talks with the Reapers. There's other groups of elves who pretty much cursed themselves into things like water sprites, wood nymphs, etc.

For a long time, the Reapers and Elementals worked together. They kept the planet's balance in check, made sure that people reincarnated like they were supposed to and generally took care of everything easily enough. But what kind of game would this be if all you had to do was walk around and have your Plant elemental grow sunflowers? Right? The peace doesn't last! And unrest comes in the form of rogue Elementals and Reapers who work to upset the peace. And on top of that, someone breaks the wall between their world and the one of Shadows...

This story shows just how horrible my imagination is. There's loss of loved ones through death, kidnapping, mental breaking and even possession, there's massive creatures that eat the souls of the living to drain the spiritual energy from them, there's Daemons and Angels who work on various sides of the war breaking out...hell, there's even the AWW moments of parents being reunited with children they thought dead. And of course, there's always the comic relief that comes in the form of Raiden Merridew fighting with everyone else over...well, everything. THE SKY IS GREEN, I SWEAR IT!

2.) Dragon Age: Origins - Bailey's Side Story

This is my second project, the one that's taken two years. Mostly as I'm just plain lazy and can't be arsed to work more on it, lol. I used BlizzABS on it...and it's taken me a while to actually manage to pull everything for THAT ONE together the way I wanted it. WHAT? STORY? Oh, right...after the events of Dragon Age: Origins, Mae decides that she needs to finish what she started when it came to eliminating all the Darkspawn. When do we start the game? After they're dead and all but wiped out, of course! There's a NEW threat to deal with!

Seven years after the end of DA:O, Mae and Zevran receive a letter from Mae's adopted child, Bailey. Bailey left their party after the fall of the Archdemon, stating that he was going to open an orphanage for all the displaced children that were left behind by the war against the Darkspawn. In the seven years they were separated, Bailey had managed to build his orphanage...and fill it with children who were displaced from all other places. He invited Mae and Zevran to visit him. That was all it took to get the two started on a new journey.

Where's the new threat? People with animal features, of course. They weren't born that way. They were fused to the animals they share features with. By whom? A mage named Lamiel. They discover who it is that's causing these people to gain fur and muzzles...by running across Lamiel. The rest of the story will remain the way it was before...in progress. Because I'm too lazy to type the rest of it out!

3.) Axis Powers Hetalia: The Unthinkable

This one is my newest project. It's only been in the works a month. That said, I rather like this particular idea. The basic idea behind it? Simple enough! What would happen if Canada and Sealand tried to take over the world? What if the only ones who could stop them...were China and Russia? Who's helping Canada and Sealand? Who can China and Russia trust? Will I stop asking questions!? To be quite honest, I can't tell you the answer to any of those!

If any of you have seen APH, you should know...I hope to stay as close to the comic and show as possible, when it comes to humor. If any of you have NOT seen Axis Powers Hetalia...I suggest you look. The show's pretty good...and if the American version is too offensive, I suggest checking out the subtitled Japanese version. Much milder on the offensiveness. I'm going to pull stuff from both the Dub and Sub versions. Happy for everyone! Thumbs Up

4.) MY CONSIDERED FOURTH PROJECT!

...I apologize in advance for this...but...I got a wild idea while I was playing Harvest Moon: DS. That idea was this...

"...they don't have gay marriage in Harvest Moon...I wish they did. I should make a version where you can pick your gender and then from various character versions...and...do all the farming junk...and be able to marry either gender. For the ones who aren't breeders, there's always adoption, right? I mean, I could make an orphanage or something..."

...and now I'm seriously considering it, as I have NEVER seen this done in a Harvest Moon game. If I ended up doing so, I'd probably pull stuff from HM:FoMT, HM:DS and the female versions of both. Why? Because they use pretty much the same graphics set and I want to be able to have you swap between the two towns! And probably be able to go to even more places. But yeah, you get it. Right?

ANY QUESTIONS, COMMENTS OR FEEDBACK? I'd be happy for any of it. XD Even if it's "HERE'S WHAT TO USE FOR SPOILER TAGS!"

 (Y)  cool, the game I played last time was Elemental Hunters I think. Still got the talking cats?

Notice:
Need a face-set or character sketch/concept P.M me. I draw mostly manga style though and it might take roughly a week

 :O

Not only is the basic story for all three of your projects actually sounds epic, you've got screenies of ALL three projects?

I honestly wonder if you will end up finished one of them...I can't even finish one. Can't imagine three.  Very Angry

The best-sounding project you've got here is Elemental Hunters in my opinion...I hear an epic war crying out from the description there...

Tell us when you get a demo for any one of your games...they all sound unique in their own way and don't seem to follow off of a stereotypical rpg game type. I've always enjoyed playing games I can't predict.

Actually, it was Dragon Age: Origins - Bailey's Side Story that I put out a demo for. Elemental Hunters is one of the ones that died with my old PC.

Eventually I shall finish them. I just need to stop...you know...having real life be so important and pressing.

Elemental Hunters is my baby. It's the one I've had going for several years...eight or nine, I think. I've done a lot of tweaking. Too much custom work, not enough time, skill or wanna to finish it. I'm hoping that my next move will make things easier on me when it comes to putting it together. The first one I'll finish will, very likely, be the APH game. China/Yao uses a wok for a weapon, by the way.
