Laxius Power 3 ~ The Final Terror: Game Released

Hello,
I'm glad to introduce you the final part of my trilogy.
Laxius Power 3 is a complete RM2K game concluding this series
which started in 2001. After 1 year and a half of hard work,
I'm finally ready (and happy, nonetheless) to show you this game.
Despite having a main quest, Laxius Power 3
is an old school RPG based on exploration and non-linearity,
halfway through the styles of Might and Magic 6 and Baldur's Gate.
Since this is the game's 1st release, it is advised to save as often
as possible, and in different slots.

Summary:
Basically, the game starts where the former one ended, though being
a stand-alone game playable without having played the former parts.
Random and his friends are reunited and ready to explore Metrolia,
the biggest town in the world, where they've been invited by the
King in person. But weird things still seem to be going on... While
Metrolia usually is a very secure place to live in, some evil aura
is spreading and giving the evidence that Demons are rising and
ready to achieve one of their goals: replace mankind.
How will Random unravel what the enemies are secretly planning?
Who will he meet in his journey, and who will he be able to trust?
And what will ultimately happen?
Play and find out, in this vast game that features 14 days of Random's
life, but also... 14 days of doom!

Descartes is sitting in a bar, having a drink. The bartender asks him if he would like another. "I think not," he says, and vanishes in a puff of logic.

Do not worry, it's a stand-alone game. Smile

Looks and sounds good, Indy!
I do think the naked angel monster is a bit out of place, though.

On the internet men are men, women are men and little girls are FBI agents.

EDIT: What's wrong with the download? It downloads 7 MB then the download completes. But the game is 29 MB, right?

It sounds very interesting indeed. So many features, so many sidequests, and generally "so many" Laugh. That blacksmith idea of yours. For the original version of my project Confidentus Fabuli (Most of the posters here are familiar with CF) I designed a system in which you find certain ores, and depending on the ore the blacksmith would graft elemental properties into the weapons, or status-changing attributes. I do wonder if our ideas are similar.

Either use GetRight or download the link from one of the 2 mirrors to be found here:

I'll have a look in the morning. It's 10:45 PM here so I can't really download it now or I'll be here until 1 AM, and I'm too knackered to wait around for it, heh.

The mirrors are pretty new and you only asked me for another link a few days ago anyway.

No I meant why didn't you tell us about needing getright originally? Very few people use it and, unless told I needed it, I wouln't download it.

Some people can download it, some can't.
I have no idea how many can't, I just happened to discover some people needed GetRight to download it...

Get right is a very popular program I would recommend it to you all.

Nano this is a recently discovered problem so please don't take such an aggressive tone with Indy.

I haven’t downloaded the game myself but I'm impressed with what I see.

Indy you seem to have a lot of resource styles in their how did you keep a cohesive feel in the game?

Sorry, didn't intend for it to sound aggressive.
Oh and, despite the amount of content, I doubt I'll get more than 2 hours gameplay out of it for now; Half Life 2 and broadband in January means plenty of fraggin' fun.

I gotta admit, Random is a brilliant name for a character.

This series existed near the time when rm2k was introduced and translated by Don. I have to say, it is one of the games that should be put into consideration. There's actually three complete versions of it. And as far as I believe, they continue focusing on one hero. Pretty impressive stuff.

I STILL haven't played this yet. The available hosts are rather poor. I've been really wanting to play it, but have attempted to download it so many times that I've given up.

This is obviously an issue.
Maybe the main link is receiving too many downloads, I don't know.
I'll be releasing a new version with the latest bug fixed by the end of this month, maybe the downloading will go faster.
I'll also think of a mirror link.

It'd be best if you released the game itself, bug free, and a patch for those that already have it. If you don't release them seperately then the servers'll get overrun again.

Over time the download has progressed further, with the highest being 50 or 60% so far. I might have to wait a while it seems.

Since the file is not that big (30Mb), I'll think of a good mirror host.
