Those community awards look like the ultimate white wash Smile .

As for the results of the standard awards; they are the best set yet not in terms of game quality but in some much that it showcases a wide range of games with no Laxius power/ The way dominations. I think that this year has vindicated the rules surrounding proof of contributions to the community.

As per usual I'll play the ones that somehow evaded me this past year!

Fred: Both of them are technically community awards. If you mean the committee, how was it a whitewash? Smile

Whoops. I've been so busy I forgot to vote.

The "Person with the most future in the biz" award seems like a bit dodgey when the winners are the two people who are currently in the biz. Sticking Out Tongue

I'm suprised The Way 6 didn't get more wins just because of the huge fanbase. I was expecting that to win a few a least.

The awards definitely were better this year as compared to the previous year. I think that your new way of doing things worked out for the better this time ish, and I trust you'll run them a similar way next year.

Seems that Nano took home an award for best ripped graphics? I may just be bitter for receiving a brief mention in this category while he took home the award, but considering his graphics are completely unaltered in any way (essentially just an uncompressed graphics pack of the FFVII backgrounds), I'd question if they can even really be called "rips." That's like rewarding the Pop Station for mimicking the PSP.

God bless democracy.

Yay! I got an award!

Also, Magi, they are almost exactly as you would rip a game, with me having to resize and organize every sprite into a proper characaterset and tileset Wink.

Although I agree the commitee were a bit ABL biased.

The Way 6 was released 14/1/06, two weeks after the cut off date.

I thought Magi would have got a mention for the rips he has been pumping out since as long as I can remeber. Smile

Well, I did get one nomination by DE. If I was able to impress him then I know I'll have nothing to worry if I ever am able to get my game out.

Anyway, I was also wondering about the comittees. I don't remember there being any in the previous Misaos. Was the the first time you've tried that out?

Most Interesting Title of a Game
Solstice - Bad Artemis, I'm Freezing, Moon VI, Volume Zero: From Madness Through The Eyes Of Fear

...Wow, that title seems familiar... Sarcastic (Note: The new Coheed and Cambria cd is actually called Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star VI, Volume 1: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness.)
