Script and Event joint help

Hey, it's punk here and I kinda need some help because I don't know how to fix it... lol

I have a cheat menu in my game and the selection for "Ghost Mode" is thus,

when 1 # Ghost Mode ON/OFF

# Play decision SE

$game_system.se_play($data_system.decision_se)

# Switch Ghost Mode ON/OFF

$game_switches[4] = true

$scene = Scene_Options.new

and my switch #4 event is this,

I don't know what to do, so if you know tell me k? Or if theres like a scripting way of doing this then that's cool 2.

KILLS: 10-----CRITICAL: 1-----DEATHS: 0

It looks to me like when Ghost Mode is on, it triggers the common event which turns is on and sets a variable so that next frame, it turns off and sets a variable so that next frame, it turns on, ad infinitum. Can you not use a condition switch? I think what you really want is an event without a condition switch that goes like this:

Conditional Branch: Switch [0004 Ghost Mode] is ON
  Set Move Route: Player - Through ON
Else
  Set Move Route: Player - Through OFF
End

If the common event needs a condition switch, you could split it into a "Ghost Mode ON" event and a "Ghost Mode OFF" event.
