Custom Battle Sprites.

Hey there, I've just got a fast question about RPG Maker 2003. I'm not very experienced with it, so give me a break if it's really obvious. >_>

Well, I brought both of the .PNG images of a battle sprite into photoshop, tweaked them a bit, and then saved them with a different name in the same directory (same format, everything's the same except for the name and actual image). But when I go to the character editor in 2k3, there's no other choices for the battle sprite. Undecided Is there something I have to do specifically to make it appear as a choice?

Thaaaaankyou.

You have to import them individually into your project, and NEVER save extra files to the RTP folders.

Okay, so I opened the Resource Manager, selected the BattleCharSet folder, and hit import-- then selected the files and imported them individually.

But.. I'm still not getting anything new under the battle sprite menu. Undecided Did I do anything wrong?

Thanks for helping!

Does the resource manager show that you've imported the files? No errors? Did you get to pick a transparency colour?

Looking at your query I'd guess you've not found the battle animation tab in the database. You have to set up the animations before you can assign them to a character. Click on animations 2. If you've already done that, I'll try and think of something else.

Aaaha, I hadn't noticed the Animations 2 tab. I'll try doing that, many thanks. If I still have a problem (doubtedly) I'll post again.

Thanks again!
