my version of rpg maker 2003 have the right rtp and i havent had any problems with that. what i want to do is create custom animations for the default characters because my project have custom weapons like sniper rifles.

Well the weapons are in a separate file. Find your RTP and use the weapon sprite sheets as a template. Try layering one on top of a character and see how the weapon fits in its hand.

It happens to me too from time to time. I usually just let it be for a few minutes, check it again and it seems to go back to normal on its own. - Dennis Wong YOR Health

I'm not sure what you mean. It's fairly self-explanatory as long as you have some battle sprites that are set up correctly and do a play-test. It's basically a character sprite with different animations tied to different actions. Of course, if your RM2003 doesn't match your RTP (there were several different translations not compatible with each other) then you wouldn't have animations set up correctly and all of them would just be blank. If that's part of your problem I can give you a copy of RM2003 with a matching RTP.
