The idea/plot behind my game...

There's also the fact that each of the characters will end up with different battle systems, if I can figure out a way to fanangle it...I'm also planning a walkthrough/guide of sorts. One that offers more background story and character information. So I'm trying to make something huge, epic and fun. I'd be further along if my roommate would stop coming in and demanding my attention every five damn minutes. I want to do two things today. Watch Christmas stuff on TV and work on my damn game. But nooo, I need to stop mid-program, drop what I'm doing, and go to spend fifteen minutes to possibly see some actor I don't really want to mess with and tell him if it's the host of the American version of Iron Chef. Not wanting to mess with it until commercials is a cardinal sin!

But yeah, off I go to work...

It drives me bonkers. And I've spent most of today dealing with it, when I wanted to just work on the game. I've got so much to do, but it's impossible to do any of it because I'm interrupted as soon as I get back to where I was and remember what I was gonna do, I get interrupted again.

Yeah, I'm glad I don't have exams or anything. And no matter what, you should ALWAYS have some 'me' time. It'll help keep your head level and help you restrain yourself from choking a bitch.

Also, yes. Calculus is evil. It makes my head hurt.

But yeah, I've recalled another bit of the game I was going to do if I could find someone to do custom sprites for me. It'd be kinda hard to find giant Shadow-animals via Google. I've got a huge need for custom sprites and it's not even funny.

XP I mean ANIMAL-animals...the RTP doesn't have enough animals to do so...and I use RPG XP. And when I say 'giant,' I mean GIANT. Like. Two or three characters high, although 'regular' sized ones would be a good addition too, as they've got 'pet' forms for when they've got partners.

For example. Balthazar is a bear-type Shadow. He walks around the general size of a regular bear. He can swap into his 'true' form, which is big enough to make a school bus look like a snack cake. And then he's got a 'human' form that he neglects to use unless he absolutely has to. His partner is Ray, who's a Reaper. He's there to generally protect Ray while he's collecting souls, as well as help him locate the ones that are hiding.

Izzy is a wolf-type Shadow. His 'pet' form is something like the Grim/Sirius from Harry Potter...a pretty big black dog. His other animal form isn't quite as big as Balthazar's, but still, Balthazar is a huge @#$%@#^ who everyone makes fat jokes at, so...yeah. He also avoids his 'human' form, but mostly because he believes humans are 'snacks' and doesn't want that 'HOLY SHIT ON A STICK, I'M A SNACK' feeling.

On the opposite side of that spectrum is Niveo. Niveo is half-fox half-raccoon in his 'pet' form and extremely small, even for those two animals. His bigger form is just tall enough to where you could DRIVE aforementioned bus under his legs and barely brush the hair on his underside. He stays in his human form because he's close to someone who was attacked by another of their kind and doesn't want to freak them out. He doesn't have a partner, but he was raised around people, so he doesn't look at them as 'snacks' like most 'wild' Shadows do.

Just about any animals would be helpful. I'm hoping I can find some more if I look hard enough. If not, I'll probably end up digging through my friends and begging for help. I have some really nice friends. They're kinda busy as of late with schooling things and the holidays, but I'll manage sometime. One of my friends does pixel art, so spriting for a game should be simple enough for her. RPGXP isn't TOO complex of a program to sprite for.

...another time when I JUST PLAYED THROUGH Mother 3 and should have noticed or known this but didn't. Damn, I'm seriously losing my touch at the resource-hunting game. Normally I see things like that and snag them ASAP, like I did with the soundtrack. I'll see what I can pull together...maybe I can find a use for the Ultimate Chimera...that thing scared the bejesus out of me...

Also: I very much plan to have lots of that kind of thing. Chad falls in love with another ice-type named Anise. She dies a few years later while in the middle of giving birth to his son thanks to the Shadows. There's a lot more characters that get together and have kids too, most of which are less tragic and life-shattering to their significant others.

The 'HOLY @$%!@#$" I also plan to incorporate...like William Nash's house. I had too much fun designing his house and it was based off a dream of mine where I walked into a huge, nice house and found trap doors in the top floor that had ladders to climb down protected areas into the basement, where there were entirely NEW 'houses' underground. I've got more planned, but I wanna make sure it's going to pan out before I mention it.

Random super-cool stuff...I believe I'll have that in there too, though some may just be seriously WTF and strange. The Reapers start out as normal people who either can see ghosts OR as people who died in relation to the Shadows appearing. Such as the Shadows deciding they're tasty chew toys. Such is the case with Raiden, actually. He could see ghosts but died because a Shadow decided he was delicious. Same with his parents. Tanan can see ghosts and was kidnapped at the age of five. He ended up being dropped off on the street, where he grew up by getting handouts from people, stealing what he couldn't get handouts for and eventually getting caught trying to smuggle food and a camping set out of a store. That's where they take his fingerprints and realize he's been missing for about ten years by searching their records for him. Oh. And his parents are both male--one a psychic with telekinetic powers named Felix who actually takes after his cartoon cat counterpart without meaning to and the other a very strange and very influential mage who likes to swap genders on the fly and do other things that would probably make everyone seriously WTF.

This is actually partially based on a game I've wanted to piece together for ages AND a roleplay I've been involved in for ages. We do some pretty strange things in that roleplay...

1: Bingo. Seth and Felix.
2: It's seriously epic. I suggest picking it up sometime.
3: It's coming from me, so you can expect it to be off-kilter.
4: Twilight? When did I mention Felix was half vampire? You're psychic! Get out of my head!

EDIT: Also, Seth is a werewolf. And Felix's parents are both guys too. A vampire and vampire hunter. Yay, nonsense!

EDIT:EDIT: Also, I've been asked to inform you that it's not twilight unless vampires sparkle and the main character is an attention whore who claims she doesn't want to draw attention, then goes an jumps off a cliff.

I've uploaded some of my work so far...and thank Meu for that map maker program that let me get all the maps available! If anybody feels like taking a look, I uploaded it to my Photobucket account. It's almost all characters so far, but there's a lot of them that I have yet to have edited and finished, and I don't really want unfinished characters sitting out where people can go "lol, sloppy!"

Also, I have a trial version of RMXP and a friend sent me my game again. I'm missing a lot of stuff that I added, but I'll get it again eventually! At least I can get back to work now...

...I like him. Especially when they do that swoosh noise to when he makes even the slightest movements. I lol like a toddler who's horribly amused by peek-a-boo.

He turns his head a little and they make that Japanese film sound effect for whooshing. He moves his hand a foot and a half, they do it again. And when he yells the name of the mystery ingredient, he yells it like a samurai yells the name of their opponent...with such vehemence and force that it makes me LMAO every time.

TV show. Iron Chef America is what I'm talkin' about.
