ok, so i came up with this idea for a possibly complex and interesting game.
Tt opens with a large battlefield and the progress follows one soldier, differently dressed than the rest, in a long cutscene of him fighting and leading some troops to a goal. at the end of the charge they are confronted by a mysterious man.
Thats when you wake up. The main character awakes from his long sleep and gets out of bed. you are confronted downstairs by a mother-like figure (havent worked out everything) and are given 20g to spend in town for the day.
Based on what you do in town effects the outcome of a later event which gives you a specific class. depending on if you visited a mage, gave a beggar a coin or two, or spent all you money on food, all the triggers activate a scene later where it decides your class (knight, ninja, wizard, priest, etc) possibly with some tarot card drawing triggers or astrology.
And every now and then, when you go to sleep, the story returns to the other soldier the game opened with. the main theme are the two opposite sides of one person, the main character. one side being fiece and aggressive and the other, quiet and calm. the two people are actually one entity, and some actions you make the calm side do, affect the aggressive side and vise versa. as the story continues, both sides become more and more balanced based on decisions, and eventually they meet and fuse (somehow) and become a perfect hero, with both the ying and yang of both sides.
The title: "Gemini"
I'm still working on the story and It's progression, but i would be glad to hear any suggestions and/or comments. I am pretty well acuainted with rpg maker 2k3 so complex advise still helps.
